7 Tips On Making Your Breasts Look Bigger

Full breasts are commonly associated with femininity and sexiness, so it is easy to see why many girls feel unconfident, if nature didn’t bless them in that department. Many women wish they had bigger breasts, but are not willing to go under the knife to achieve that. But not every woman knows that it is easy to make small breasts look bigger and more attractive, by wearing particular types of fabric and design. You can follow these simple tips to enhance your bust line and make it visually fuller.

Padded bra is your best bet to make your breasts appear larger. The same goes for push-up bras that lift your breasts up and bring them close together, to create cleavage. You can also try buying separate inserts to use with other bras.

Thin horizontal stripes will make your chest look wider.

Bright colors and ornaments will attract more attention to your breast area and make your bust look bigger. The same is true with ruffles and glitter.

Use accessories and small details to visually enhance the cleavage area. A thin chain with a small pendant and delicate design will make your breasts look bigger by contrast.

Wear tight and thick materials that will add some volume to your bust.

Make sure you have your back straight. This pushes your breasts out and gives them better shape.

Use make up to visually enhance your cleavage. With a couple of brush strokes it can become deeper looking, making your breasts seems fuller.

Choosing The Right Sandal

When shopping for a sandal, you will soon realize you have different options. Most, if not all sandals are backless shoes that are held in place by a thong or strap that comes between the first two toes.

Another type of sandal has a band of material that wraps around the top of your foot, therefore not needing a thong or strap between your toes.

When considering the purchase of a sandal, keep in mind the two options mentioned above. Some people have a hard time adjusting to the feeling of a strap or thong between the toes and it can also be irritating or cause a rash. But with time, your feet and toes will get use to the irritation and after the “break-in” period, you may find the thong/strap type sandal to be more comfortable. Or you just may want to choose the type of sandal that covers the top of your foot but has no thong or strap between the toes.

Another thing to look for in a sandal is quality. Always make sure to look at the seams. If the sandal has been sewn in places, check the thread for double stitches and make sure no fraying has occurred. Some sandals have layers that are glued and these layers need to be checked as well to see if the glue has separated. Always use common sense and look over the sandal carefully to find any defects and always look for a quality product.

Always remember, you get what you pay for. Cheaper sandals may feel good on your feet for a while, but when they start breaking down, your feet will pay the consequences. Broken straps or worn out thin soles could possibly give your foot problems, but could also be dangerous and could cause a trip or a fall.

Use these tips when buying a good quality brand name sandal. Make the right choice for you and your feet.

JEANeology 101

More than 20 years ago a young Brook Shields shimmied into skin tight Calvin Klein jeans, a white shirt partially buttoned and gushed on TV’s across the world, ‘nothing comes between me and my Calvins.” That ad campaign made its mark in advertising history but perhaps also firmly established the denim blue jean as a wardrobe staple. Let’s face it, jeans ain’t going anywhere—in fact every year designers make improvements in the fabrication, design and fit that make them that much more a closet basic. These days there are options galore for women of all shapes, ages, sizes and fashion tastes. And there are sites like www.zafu.com that make finding the perfect pair of jeans a no brainer. But sometimes, the more options people have the more confused they become. So to take some of the mystery out of figuring out why certain pairs of jeans fit you better than others here are some key pointers:

What silhouette in a jean is right for you? It depends on your figure mostly. If you are pear shaped (heavier in the hips and thighs than the shoulders and bust) you can never go wrong with a boot cut jean as the flared lower leg will ‘balance’ out your hips. A wide leg trouser style jean will also work. Who can wear skinny jeans? Well as the name implies, that style is best suited for those who are slim with thinner thighs, hips and smaller behinds. For these women, the skinny jean, because it is meant to fit tight all the way down the leg can be a great look when paired with a tunic top or mini dress because it gives a legging effect but with more substance in the fabric. Straight leg jeans will always be the standard as it is the epitome of the classic American relaxed style—blue jeans and a T.

· To stretch or not to stretch? Quite frankly ever since designers started adding spandex to jeans I have personally never looked back. The stretch enables jeans to fit better without the binding you can feel from non stretch jeans. Also the added spandex allows the jean to follow the contours of a woman’s body more effectively. Additionally, stretch in the fabric lets jeans rebound better after multiple wearings unlike the non stretch types that literally get stretched out and baggy after a while. My advice? Look for 3% spandex in the fabric and you can’t go wrong.
· Back pockets are important because depending on how big, long or far apart they are, they can change the way you look from behind in an unfavorable way. If you have a small tush, then look for a jean with back pockets that are wide apart—they will give the illusion that you have a wider behind. Same goes for pockets with flaps –they add bulk in the rear. Avoid overly big pockets as they will minimize your rear. If you have a healthy behind, however, you want to do the opposite! Avoid pockets with flaps or ones with over the top ornate designs as they all draw attention to your rear and make it look bigger. Look for pockets that are placed closer apart and ones that sit nearer the top. Also look for decent sized pockets-if they are too small they will make you look larger from the back.
· Jeans now come in all shades of blue and other colors too! A medium wash jean is great for a casual look while a darker wash is best for a more dressed up occasion. Darker washes, from dark blue, to dark grey all the way to black are great color choices for plus size women as the darker color camouflages larger thighs.
· Jeans don’t? Overly ornate designs (flowers, embroidery, glitter, studs!), dirty or stone washes, whisker wash embellishments and super low rises. And of course, any jean that does not fit properly or flatter or enhance your curves!

Basic Tips For Choosing The Right Jewelry

They say that wearing jewelry can actually lift the spirits and make any woman feel more confident. Of course, choosing the “right” jewelry styles and colors can be time consuming and tedious. You’ll find that once you master a few simple tips, the process can be rewarding in the end.

The other day, walking through The Pier at Ceasar’s Casino in Atlantic City, I became overwhelmed by the diversity of jewelry offerings from Tiffany’s to Bacarrat. I realized selecting jewelry involves a tremendous expenditure of energy and cash, and therefore having some practical tips to draw from can make shopping easier- and faster!

One of my favorite shops at The Pier, Bijoux Ternier, which I have christened “the ten dollar store,” offers an array of fashion accessories including jewelry. I usually visit weekly and saunter in while my husband enjoys the musical Water Show across the way. The symphonic water show sounds propel me into a shopping frenzy. I find myself trying on the feel of cashmere shawls, jewelry and other pieces. By the time I’m finished, I end up looking like the window mannequin. It’s my special opportunity to play and be creative even for a few minutes. At any rate, I can get a sense of which colors and textures are flattering in terms of jewelry- costume jewelry- that is.

Somehow I’ve developed a sixth sense for what works for me. My eyes were riveted to a garnet, chunky beaded necklace. I tried it on and was amazed at how flattering it was to my skin tone. The style appeared trendy and a perfect complement to any of my casual or business outfits. The decision to buy was immediate and fairly easy- after all, the necklace originated at “the ten dollar store.” The piece was well-made and sported a “more expensive” look. I took the time to select it, appreciate its quality, and the rich garnet color I absolutely love.

Whether you shop at Tiffany’s, Cartier’s, Zales, or Nieman Marcus, the following tips may help de-mystify the whole process for you.

1. Choose jewelry that complements your skin tone.

2. Use jewelry to accent your favorite physical features and/or your outfit.

3. Choose appropriate jewelry for individual occassions.

4. Choose properly sized jewelry, (i.e. rings fit properly, necklaces are the right length for your outfit/build/situation etc.)

5. “Hand talkers” are fun- try wearing bold, fun bangle bracelets in trendy colors.

6. Choose earrings flatering to your outfit and your hairstyle, as well as face shape. For example, if your face is rounded, you are better off wearing long, elegant earrings.

7. Match styles when wearing multiple pieces of jewelry for a coordinated look.

8. Try jewelry on in front of a mirror- just as if you were selecting clothing.

9. Costume jewelry can be fun to pick up for matching to specific outfits.

10. Have some solid base pieces that go with everything. You’ll feel more confident.

11. Necklaces should complement the neckline of your dress or top.

Fashion for the Over-40 Woman

Do you get frustrated trying to shop for something that doesn’t show your navel? They say women love to shop. Not this one! I am tired of hunting for clothes only to find short skirts and short tops. I was starting to wonder if anyone designed clothes for women over 17.

Shopping was one frustration after another until I learned a few tricks to make the most of the clothes that are available:
Know which colors look best on you. Only look at clothes in those colors; this saves oodles of time!
Know which styles look best on you. Forget about spending time and money on styles that don’t suit you!
Build your wardrobe with mostly solid color fabrics. Add to it with a few patterned or striped articles to accent your outfits and keep up with today’s style.
Buy long skirts or dresses and then have them shortened and hemmed to the length you feel most comfortable with.
Buy shoes that have a heel, even if it is a low one - at least an inch. If you are more comfortable in a lower heel, start looking for those that are flattering and won’t kill your back.
Wear shirts and blouses rather than sweaters. You will look fresher and more vibrant as sweaters easily lose their shape (and then we look like we’re losing our shape too!) Sweaters are often so casual they detract from the overall look.

As we get older, shopping will be more difficult, but armed with these few hints, a trip to the mall can be a little easier. Above all, dress so you feel good - at home as well as at work or at a social function. Feeling good about the way we look sends a very positive message to those who see us.
